Olympia School District families have until Sunday, Oct. 11, to fill out the district's annual Panorama Fall Climate Survey, which gauges student belonging and family engagement across all OSD schools.
The survey opened Monday, Sept. 21, according to a district announcement. Students will take it during class at times set by each school. Families can complete a separate version through the Panorama survey portal, which covers all 19 OSD schools plus the Knox Administrative Center, Food Services and Transportation departments.
The district said the family survey is shorter this year than in past years. It is available in 22 languages, including English, Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, Somali, Russian and Simplified Chinese.
The district said past survey results identified "sense of belonging" and "self-efficacy" as areas needing improvement. Those findings led to staff professional development focused on Restorative Practices and AVID Strategies, according to the announcement.
The fall and spring Panorama surveys are the district's primary tool for collecting student and family feedback, OSD said. The district said it uses the results to shape school programs.
