Tumwater mayor's last-minute request freezes $15.3 million for homeless services
The Thurston County Board of Commissioners voted 3-2 on June 16 to table 49 homeless services contracts worth $15.3 million after Tumwater Mayor Leatta Dahlhoff objected, putting July 1 funding for 17 nonprofits at risk. The board meets again June 23.
