Lynda Nashed Zeman is running for Thurston County assessor in the November 3, 2026 general election. The official sample ballot lists her and JJ Olson for the four-year office; both state a Democratic Party preference.
In her submitted November voters’ pamphlet statement, Zeman lists an appointment to the Lacey City Council in 2019 and executive administrative work in the county Assessor’s Office and County Commissioner’s Office. She describes responsibilities involving budgets, operations, constituent services and coordination between governments.
Her statement lists an associate degree, EMT training and coursework toward the International Association of Assessing Officers’ Assessment Administration Specialist designation. This is coursework toward the designation, rather than a claim that she already holds the credential.
Her campaign biography says she previously co-owned Window Genie of Olympia and serves as vice president of the West Puget Sound IAAO chapter.
In the November pamphlet, Zeman says she would strengthen staff training and mentorship, support a transition to modern systems and make property valuation information easier to understand. She describes an accessible, accountable Assessor’s Office as her goal.
