Adam Teske and Ryan Wildy met as college students in 2006 when Teske talked Wildy into delivering sandwiches for the campus Jimmy John's.

Two decades later, the Thurston County residents run 11 franchise locations across Western Washington, and their newest combo shop on Littlerock Road in Tumwater pairs subs with scoops under one roof.

The combined Jimmy John's and Baskin-Robbins at 5312 Littlerock Road SE, Suite 104, near the Tumwater Fred Meyer, opened in May 2026. It's the duo's second combo location after their Yelm shop opened in November 2025 at 1010 East Yelm Avenue.

The owners told ThurstonTalk that the two Thurston County stores are among only six such combined locations nationwide.

The pair's path to Tumwater started at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. After graduating, both worked in marketing at Jimmy John's corporate headquarters in Champaign, then were promoted to business coaches based in Denver, helping franchisees open restaurants across the Mountain West. A colleague in the company's real estate department suggested they look at Olympia.

"We fell in love with it. The scenery is beautiful. The people are great. I love the mountains and hiking and he loves the water," Teske told ThurstonTalk.

They opened their first local shop on Martin Way in Olympia in March 2014. The empire has since grown to include locations at Lacey Crossroads, Hawk's Prairie off Marvin Road, and additional shops in Pierce and Cowlitz counties and Wenatchee.

The pair received the Jimmy John's Franchise of the Year Award in 2026, according to their ThurstonTalk profile.

Both now live in Thurston County.

On the sandwich side, the Tumwater shop offers the full Jimmy John's menu including wraps and the low-carb "unwich" lettuce wrap, with free add-ons like hot peppers, ranch, and crispy onions. Bread is baked in-house throughout the day, and a neon sign on the building reads "Fresh Smells."

The Baskin-Robbins counter scoops 24 flavors alongside sundaes, smoothies, cappuccino blasts, cakes, and pies.

Customers can dine in, pick up, or order delivery through Jimmy John's in-house drivers or via DoorDash, UberEats, and Grubhub. Catering is also available. The Tumwater shop can be reached at 360-878-8797.
