More than 50 food trucks, dessert vendors, beverage companies, and artisan booths will take over Tumwater.

The Taste of the Sound Food Festival spans June 27 and June 28, organized by Messy Mama Co, runs noon to 7 p.m. both days at 1520 Irving St. SW. Admission and parking are free.

Festival-goers can expect live DJ sets, face painting, a scavenger hunt, axe throwing, a silent auction, raffles, and a People's Choice Award for standout vendors. Emerald Kingdom, one confirmed vendor, will offer cakes and character appearances. Rustic Heritage Bakery is providing fruit danishes and gigantic chocolate brownies.

The $35 Sip & Savor Passes, which include eight tasting tickets redeemable at select vendors, sold out as of Wednesday, June 25, according to the Messy Mama Co website.

A portion of event proceeds will benefit TOGETHER!, the Thurston County nonprofit that operates the clubhouse venue. Founded in 1989, TOGETHER! runs after-school, Host Homes, and Community Schools programs for local students and families.

The festival is presented in partnership with Best of Olympia.
