Man arrested in 2025 downtown Olympia crash that killed two pedestrians
A 21-year-old man was arrested Thursday, July 9, on two counts of vehicular homicide for a 2025 crash at Fifth Avenue and Simmons Street near Capitol Lake that killed Joy Ezindu, 71, of Tumwater, and Carla Gonzales, 62, of Olympia; airbag data allegedly showed the car accelerating to 41 mph with no braking in a 25 mph zone.
